How to Grow Longer Nails Faster

Most women would love to have long, beautiful, healthy and strong nails. Instead most of us have dry, brittle nails. Nice long nails add such a flattering and feminine characteristic to your hands. I have found a few steps that helped me on my journey to turn my dry brittle nails into strong, shiny and healthy nails.
Here are three tips that I use on a regular basis, to grow and maintain beautiful nails:
- Watch Your Diet: Your diet has a lot to do with the growth and condition of your nails. If they are dry and brittle than you may want to take a multivitamin or incorporate more nuts, veggies and fruit into your diet. Water also makes a big factor, many people do not get enough water to keep them hydrated which can result in nails that are dry, brittle and do not grow.
- Keep Them Manicured: Protecting your nails with a base coat that will promote growth and strength will help tremendously. I also recommend leaving them alone for awhile, because nail polish is full of chemicals and tends to dry nails out. Keep your nails short with a file until you notice them getting strong.
- Stay Away From Fake Nails (if possible): Many women get fake nails put on with the drill, this is so bad as it kills your nails!! The drill is so hard on them not to mention the harsh chemicals that are applied during the appointment to keep them from breaking are adding to the problem. If you insist on getting nails put on, go to a professional salon where they use a nail file. This way is much more gentle, yes I know it is more expensive but it is so worth it!
- Try a Growth Formula: Products such as China Glaze Nail Strengthener & Growth Formula, will help by providing your nails with the necessary vitamins and proteins that promote strength and new growth.
Note: If you are a nail bitter, try really hard to stop as this really affects the condition of your nails.
