Easy Ways to Rejuvenate Your Skin!!

Beautiful Skin

Many don’t realize that all the seasons are hard on our skin…not just the dry winter months. So, just like we do for our hair, it is very important to constantly maintain and combat the effects of our environment. During the hot summer months, use clean natural oils such as olive, almond, or coconut, to replenish lost moisture from excessive sun or wind exposure. I use these oils, instead of a moisturizer or lotion, because they are clean and chemical free.  For the winter months, when the air is most dry, I have found that the use of humidifier in addition to the oils work best.

Other Recommendations for Glowing Skin:

Water: Drinking plenty of water will help keep your skin hydrated, 6-8 glasses a day. Try to drink room temperature water right when you wake up and all throughout the day.  Pop and coffee are very dehydrating, so if you are a regular drinker, try to cut back and replace with a refreshing cup of filtered H2O.  If water is too boring for you, jazz it up with some lemons, limes or heat the water slightly and add some lemon and honey! Enjoy!

Home Facials: This is my favorite!! With an at home facial steamer you can easily keep on top of fresh looking skin.  A facial steamer is a device that opens your pores, by stimulating the skin. This allows your face to absorb needed moisture and flushes out oil and dirt that may be clogging your pores. It is these clogged pores that cause most acne and other skin conditions, so keep them clean and let them breathe! With regular use, Facial Steamers greatly improve skins elasticity, health, overall appearance and are very relaxing.

Sleep: Sleep in very important when it comes to your skins health so no less than 8 good hours!!!  This gives your skin enough time to repair and rejuvenate.
